Reported first by Billboard, Dua Lipa recently sat down with the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and revealed her favorite hip-hop artists, including the first shows she ever went to, which included Wu-Tang Clan and 50 Cent.
The star admitted that when she was 13-years-old, the first-ever show she went to was Redman and Method Man, and added that hip-hop is the dominant genre in Kosovo.
Dua went on to say that going to see Redman and Method Man was one of the first times she was ever introduced to Wu-Tang Clan. Her second concert was 50 Cent, which sparked an interest in the rapper’s history. She read the book, watched the movie, and memorized every line.
“Massive 50 Cent fan,” the artist remarked. Dua is also interested in philanthropy. Her next record, Future Nostalgia, is coming out in the early months of 2020, and according to her, she’d like to use her celebrity to help Albania.
According to Dua Lipa, when she grew up in Kosovo, many of her favorite artists never came there, including Nelly Furtado and Pink. However, they created the Sunny Hill Festival, which today, is a big musical event in the nation.
In other Dua-related news, the star has been linked to Anwar Hadid, the brother of Gigi and Bella Hadid. Reported first by TMZ, the outlet pointed out that Hadid also makes his own music.
The publication reported that he showed it to Lipa, who is a good friend of Gigi’s. At the beginning of June, Anwar found out Dua split up with her previous boyfriend and then hit her up for a date.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, at the 47th Annual American Music Awards, Dua and Anwar made their first public red carpet appearence. Lipa wore a Miu Miu Gown and Hadid wore an Iron Maiden t-shirt underneath a black blazer.
